In celebration of Malaysia Day 2020, we commissioned 4 illustrations from local artist, Aida Nurul for a satirical look at the multicoloured scenes of Malaysia.

The international day for the elimination of violence against women CAMPAIGN (2020)

On 25th November 2020, we commemorated The International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women by commissioning 3 illustrations from Adifitri to highlight the challenges faced by workers (especially women) in Malaysia. Violence against women is an ongoing, widespread violation of human rights. 1 in 3 women experience physical/sexual violence in their lifetime and some of this occur while they are at work.

the ‘stirring stories’ blog (2020)

For EMPOWER Malaysia’s newly launched blog, Stirring Stories, we’ve requested Malaysian artist, MayLii to create the main banner featuring a diverse coven of witches to symbolise the different elements involved in stirring up a story.
